This tool cuts an audio file down to the exact time range you specify, using a visual waveform so you can see what you're keeping instead of guessing at timestamps. Drop your audio file above, drag the highlighted region's edges to set the start and end points, then click trim. The waveform renders locally as soon as the file is decoded, so you get instant visual feedback before committing to a cut.

This is a straight cut, not a re-render of the whole file: only the audio inside your selected region is kept, decoded once and written back out as WAV. There's no format conversion happening beyond that, so if your source file wasn't already WAV, this effectively also converts it as a side effect of trimming.

What format is the output?
WAV, regardless of the input format.
Does trimming re-encode the audio?
The selected range is decoded and re-written as WAV. WAV is uncompressed, so there is no lossy re-encoding step the way there would be trimming straight to MP3 — the kept audio keeps its original quality.
How precise is the start/end point?
Drag the waveform region's edges to set the range visually; it snaps to the audio's actual decoded samples, so it is accurate to a fraction of a second rather than a rough estimate.
Can I trim more than one section from the same file?
Not in a single pass, this tool trims to one continuous region. To keep two separate sections, trim and download each one individually, then use Merge Audio to combine them if needed.
